As Jacob Cubed The Great, am I just another Johnny-come-lately conqueror or am I able to elevate myself to actual royalty?

Re: Hmmm
08/25Like many great men, you need only kill the man whose position you want and you will be ascend to your proper place. Think Oedipus, without marrying your mom. -

Re: Hmmm
08/25I have also been turned on by everyone who is smarter than me. Thank god, seeing as it is 90% of the people on earth. -

Re: Hmmm
08/25Hey, don't get me wrong. Odysseus is a fine role-model. Unless you're a sailor. -

Re: Hmmm
08/25Hey! He came back to her! Odysseus could have stayed with Circe or Calypso or any number of Mediterranean babes, but eventually he did get back to Penelope! -

Re: Hmmm
08/25YEAH! When he was OLD! After making some bacon with a sorceress no less.
I mean, have you SEEN the men in greece? Yikes. Even the shrubbery is hot.

Re: Hmmm
08/25Mmmm Circe.
So they had an open repationship or did Odysseus just not tell her? Did she hook up with any of the suitors who were bumming around? -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: Hmmm
08/25JLP, you forget I used to live in Greece. Don't forget that there is a slight problem with hirsuteness there.
I think that when Penelope and Odysseus first got together, he told her that he was poly and she couldn't really deal. They broke up for, like, a month. Then she realized that if she could be his primary, then she could handle it. The main rule is that he has to tell her every woman he gets with, but no details. He's also only allowed one encounter per woman per pan-Aegean war. She can't really handle the complexities of a poly relationship, even of having non-emotional sex, so those suitors were out of the question. -

Re: Hmmm
08/25That sounds suspiciously like a pokemon episode. Are you sure you aren't making this up?
