I must confess, the best pie I had this year was Brownie Nut Pie - a new experience for me. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Oh my goodness, it was atrociously delicious. With vanilla ice cream.

Wed, December 29, 2004 - 2:54 PMI got it at the Asbury Pie House at the NM State Fair. Every year the do-gooders make skillions of pies and sell them during the Fair to raise money for good causes. I swear they sell like, 30 different kinds of pie!
So I guess some nice churchy lady holds the recipe to my happiness... -

It's the crust that makes it though - gotta make a good yummy shortcrust. That's a talent that them churchy ladies have. But who knows - when they are making a skillion, I bet they use frozen pie crusts.
